Renewable electricity

As part of Intersnack’s climate commitment, we have a target to use 100% renewable electricity by 2032.

By signing a long-term supply contract (also known as a Power Purchase Agreement or PPA) and committing to purchase part of its electricity output for 15 years we have helped to finance the construction of a new solar farm in Spain.

In April 2025, this solar generation park became operational. It is capable of generating around 90,000 MWh of electricity per year – the equivalent of nearly 50% of Intersnack’s total European electric energy needs.

A significant milestone in Intersnack’s renewable electric energy journey.

Innovating

to meet the growing demand for better snacks

“Healthier options should taste just as good - not almost as good – as other products. We don’t compromise on taste.”

This is our philosophy when it comes to product innovations. With success - the popularity of our innovative Lentil Chips has proven to be one of the biggest growth drivers of our speciality business.

Packaging

Our contribution to a circular economy

Packaging is essential to protecting the quality and safety of our products, but it also has an environmental footprint. That’s why we are working to reduce this impact and, wherever possible, prevent packaging from becoming waste. Since launching our Packaging Pledge in 2018, we have made strong progress, achieving a 15.1% reduction in the use of flexible packaging by end of 2025 versus 2014.

Building on this foundation, we are now moving into the next phase of our journey, focusing on reducing material use, increasing recyclability, scaling recycled content and strengthening partnerships to support circular packaging.

Servant leadership

To achieve employee engagement and ownership, we want our employees’ talents to truly flourish. This requires us to become servant leaders, meaning that we work for our employees and not the other way around.
